Interplay between Structure and Electronic Properties in Organic Conductors

چکیده
It is known that the ground states of organic conductors have a diversity reflecting the spatial arrangement of the constituent molecules within the unit cell. A systematic theoretical search for the unifying view behind such possible ground states has been made based on the Hartree-Fock mean field approximation not only to the onsite but also to intersite Coulomb interactions with special emphasis on the families of typical organic conductors (TMTCF)2X and (ET)2X.

Cooperative and Diminutive Interplay between Halogen, Hydride and Cation-σ Interactions
In the present study, the cooperative and diminutive interplay between halogen, hydride, and cation-σ interactions are studied in HMgH···Li+(Na+)···NCCl, Li+(Na+)···HMgH···ClCN and HMgH···ClCN···Li+(Na+) complexes by means of ab initio calculations. To better understand the cooperative or diminutive effects in the ternar...
متن کاملFirst-principles electronic-band calculations on organic conductors.
Predicting electronic-band structures is a key issue in understanding the properties of materials or in materials design. In this review article, application examples of first-principles calculations, which are not based on adjustable empirical parameters, to study electronic structures of organic conductors are described.
متن کاملElectronic phases of low dimensional conductors
We briefly review the physics of electronic phases in low dimensional conductors. We begin by introducing the properties of the one-dimensional electron gas model using bosonization and renormalization group methods. We then tackle the influence of interchain coupling and go through the different instabilities of the electron system to the formation of higher dimensional states. The connection w...
متن کاملSpectroscopic Studies on Electronic Ferroelectricity in Organic Conductors
Organic conductors exhibit unusual physical properties due to the critical nature of valence electrons fluctuating under localizing and delocalizing regime. Recently, we discovered that an organic superconductor, α-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 [BEDTTTF: bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene], induces optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) along with charge-ordering driven by the repulsive electron-electron ...
